This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a need for No. 2 Fuel/Heating Oil Services. This procurement is being solicited as 100% set aside for Small Business, and associated NAICS code is 454311 with a respective size standard of 50 employees. The period of performance will be will be for one (1) year, twelve (12) months after date of award, with four one-year option periods, with four one-year option periods. The services to be provided consist of a supplier(s) will furnish No. 2 fuel oil (heating oil), a distillate fuel oil for use in atomizing-type burners for domestic heating or for use in medium capacity commercial, industrial burner units with distillation temperatures between 540 F and 640 F at the 90% recovery point and kinematic viscosities between 1.9 and 3.4 centistokes at 100 F as defined in ASTM Specification D395-92. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) database before receiving a contract award (go to www.ccr.gov to register). This announcement constitutes the solicitation (W911WN-10-T-0009), and attachments thereto, can be downloaded and printed by accessing: www.fbo.gov. Technical and cost proposal are being requested from this announcement.

The due date for quotes has been extended, from 25 January 2010 to 04 February 2010 at 11:00 a.m.  Before quotes are submitted, an Amendment 02 will be posted for your consideration, on or about 27 January 2010.
